Playoffs Day 12

There were 3 games with one team from each team being eliminated. The Capitals beat the Flyers 1-0 to take out the Flyers. Nicholas Backstrom was the one scorer for the Caps. The Flyers managed to put up a fight in the game and the series. The Capitals will play the Penguins in round 2. The Stars won 5-4 after allowing 3 straight Wild goals and they have eliminated the Wild and will play the Blues or Blackhawks. Patrick Sharp, Jamie Benn, Jason Spezza, Alex Goligoski, and John Klingberg scored for Dallas. Jason Pominville, Jonas Brodin, and Jared Spurgeon scored for the Wild. This is the first time in 4 years that the Wild weren't eliminated by the Blackhawks. The Islanders won 2-1 in double overtime to win the series at home and advance to the second round for the first time in 23 years. John Tavares scored both goals for the Islanders. Jonathan Huberdeau scored the first goal in the game and the last one for the Panthers this season. The Islanders will play the Tampa Bay Lightning in round 2.
