Sloppy Ducks

The (1-6-2) Anaheim Ducks are not in a good spot. They fell to the Blackhawks 1-0 in OT on Monday then an embarrassing loss to the Dallas Stars. The Ducks in that ga,e were up 3-0 then fell apart to lose. Ryan Getzlaf is out for 12 days because of appendectomy. Things are not looking good for the western conference runner up this year so far. Will Bruce Boudreau get fired? Can the Ducks win without Getzlaf? Stay tuned....

New guys injury

The Detroit Red Wings have had a good offseason. Signed free agents Brad Richards and Mike Green. They also got a new coach Jeff Blashill. The only thing is Richards and Green are injured. This is a slap in the face to the Red Wings, they just got these guys and not even a month in they get injured! Good thing for them is that these are short term injuries for both players. Richards is out 1-2 weeks as Green is out 2-3. The Wings are 4-3-1 sitting in fourth place in the Atlantic division. Will these injuries affect the team in a big way? stay tuned....

Flames struggle

The poor Calgary Flames (2-7-0) are not in a good position right now. They just fell to the New York Islanders 4-0 at the new Barclays Center. Joni Ortio with his first start did not get any goal scoring support from his struggling team. Johnny Gaudreau is their point leader with a pretty good 10 points tied for 13 in the league for points. I do believe the flames will come back to earth soon enough. Will the Flames goalies step up? Will Gaudreau continue to produce? Can the Flames start winning? stay tuned......

Super sonic speed

Image result for zucker goal jets vs wildJason Zucker scored a goal 10 seconds in the game at Winnipeg.  One of the fastest goals in NHL history. He dangled past a Winnipeg defender Jacob Trouba for a perfect shot on net. The Jets went on to win the crazy game 5-4.  As always stay tuned.......

Kings stepping up

Image result for la kings beat oilersThe L.A Kings are on a five game winning streak.  After losing the first 3 games the Kings got their heads out of the clouds and got to work.  I predicted that the Kings would be a huge Stanley Cup contender this year and I still stand by it as longs as the Kings keep this up.  Jonathan Quick has allowed 5 goals in 5 games including a shutout and if he continues this who knows how far his team will go. Where the first 3 games a fluke? Will someone be a true leader for the Kings? stay tuned......

Canadiens on fire

Image result for montreal canadiens vs maple leafsThe Montreal Canadiens (9-0-0) are on fire!  They just beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-3 at the Bell Center.  They are proving that they are more than goalie Carey Price.  Everything is just clicking for them. Will the hot streak continue? Can Carey Price continue to be amazing? Will the Canadiens be a Stanley Cup contender? Stay tuned....
