Yakupov injury

Sorry this is late, but Edmonton Oilers forward Nail Yakupov has sprained his ankle and is out for 2-4 weeks because of a linesman. That really sucks since a linesman caused this for a last place oilers team. The Oilers have lost McDavid and now Yakupov which are two first overall picks. I don't think the Oilers are not going to do well without him, they could barely hold their ground when they had him, but without McDavid. I say they should make a trade that can still work out when he comes back. The worst part is that this could have been easily been prevented if the linesman was being more careful. How will the Oilers do without him? Will the Oilers make a trade? stay tuned.....

Update on 20

As I said I have to do this for L.A so here's what I have to say. I have used the tredmill a few times, but not a lot. I don't have any motivation to really do it, or I don't have the time. I changed it to get running for at least 30 min a day and I'm cutting down on the junk food and eting healthier lunches instead of crackers. Another thing is not eating dessert after my meals. I feel like eveything is benifitting me and my health so I will continue to do this but not post it. Anyways I will try again to use the tredmil but since I'm back in school I might not have the time.  This is probably my last update so I will keep posting normally from now on.

Ducks fail

Wow, the Ducks were up 2-0 to the Hawks and they blew it. Not even 2 minutes remained and they blew it. Hossa and Keith scored and Kane with an assist on Keith's goal
tied the American record for longest point streak for an American. I think the Ducks were very capable of winning that game, but they softened up at the end . Then Artem Anisimov won it in OT with a pass from Seabrook. I was shocked and going crazy at the same time so I'm happy for the Hawks and Patrick Kane. Did the Ducks soften up? Could they have done anything differently? stay tuned....

Brendan Gallagher Hand

Sorry for no post lately, but recently Montreal Canadians Brendan Gallagher messed up his hand. Gallagher blocked a shot with his hand in a 4-2 win against the Islanders. He will be out for six weeks with two broken fingers. He had surgery and is recovering, but this could blow for the Canadians. This is an ugly injury, I don't think fingers look like that, talk about taking one for the team. I think that this might bump the Canadians down in the standings a little bit, but not to much. When Patrick Kane was injured it affected the Hawks a little, but not a lot, I think that will be the same case for the Canadians. Will this really affect the Canadians? Can they hold their ground? stay tuned....

Kane is the new Crosby

Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane has extended his point streak to 13 games. Leading the NHL with 28 points I think he will take it this year. He also leads the NHL with 13 goals, 3rd for assists with 15, and +/- with +14 as well. I'm just saying he could be playing well since he knows he won't face any charges in his rape case (I doubt it)Crosby who? Is what I think right now since he's is basically invisible on the score sheet. Will Kane continue to dominate? Will Kane stay healthy this year to win the Art Ross? stay tuned....

20

So in LA class I was asked to post a 20 day challenge. I chose to use the treadmill everyday for at least 30 minutes a day. I will chart for how long I run and how fast. I will have an update most likely once a week. This will benefit me because this will make me run faster and have more endurance. I want to do this to have better discipline. Normal posts will keep coming out so don't worry, I'm just waiting for big news to come out.

Suspended

Colorado Avalanche forward Gabriel Landeskog has been suspended for 2 games for a hit to the head on Bruins forward Brad Marchand. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YK4ivknGBdo in this video you will find an explanation. There was no injury on he play and it was legal, but the main point of contact was to the head. Will losing their captain affect them? How long do you think he should have been suspended for? stay tuned......

Unstoppable Rangers

The (11-2-2) 6 game winning streak Rangers are unstoppable right now. Rick Nash returned to their lineup  after injuring his back at practice and scored a goal against the Hurricanes on Tuesday. The streak won't last forever , but right now it doesn't look like it'll stop. Henrik Lundqvist and former Blackhawks goalie Antti Raanta have been doing great. Raanta has 1 shutout  in 3 starts, and Lundqvist has a GAA of 1.65. Don't forget Mats Zuccarello is their point leader with 12 points. I think the Rangers will go to the finals this year (what I think now), but I think them and the now struggling Tampa Bay Lightning will be in the Eastern Conference Finals and this time the Rangers will take it. My prediction could change though. Will the streak continue? Will both goalies continue to be good? Is this the year? stay tuned......

Palat injury

Image result for palat injuryOndrej Palat is now injured. After a 1-0 loss Palat had an injury on his lower body. Nino Niederreiter landed on his leg and this could be bad. Palat has 2 goals and seven points for the Lightning this year and lets face it, the Lightning aren't doing too good right now. The Lightning have 16 points right now 3rd in the Atlantic, which is good, but I thought they would be better. Will this affect the team in a big way? Can Palat be back soon? stay tuned....

Howard Injury

Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard has been injured against the Dallas Stars on Sunday. Jason Spezza got a rebound from Howard going hard to the net and Howard got hit in the head. Petr Mrazek went in for him. It seems like Howard could be out for a few weeks at least. Now this might be as big a blow as you think, Petr Mrazek has playoff experience and can be starter. Will this be a serious injury? How long will Howard be out? Can Petr Mrazek be a good starter? stay tuned......

Winter Classic Jerseys

If you don't already know the Bruins and Canadiens have unveiled their winter classic jerseys.  In my opinion they are better than the Blackhawks and Capitals ones last year. The game will be on January 1st 2016 at Gillette Stadium in Boston. I personally like the Bruins one better. What do you think of them? stay tuned....

McDavid Injury

1st overall pick Conner McDavid has broken his collarbone and is out for "months".  Though the Oilers beat the Flyers 4-2 it doesn't feel good. He had Micheal  Del Zotto and Brandon Manning on him as he crashed hard to the boards after a shot. I know this really sucks, but at least this is early  in the season and McDavid can still make an impact. McDavid had a great start with 5 goals and 7 assists which is a good start that had a premature stop. Can the Oilers play through it? When McDavid comes back will he be affected by this? How long will McDavid be out? stay tuned.....

Innocent

Patrick Kane is innocent as I thought he would be. The accuser said that this case was causing too much stress for her and her family. I think this is because that she knew he was innocent the whole time.  I think that Patrick Kane continue to play well knowing that he is not under fire anymore. Kane needs to more careful in the future though because if something like this happens again he could be in major trouble. Will this be a problem in the future? Can this be forgotten? Will Kane say something about this? stay tuned.....

Impressive Dallas Stars

Image result for stars vs maple leafsThe second place Dallas Stars have an impressive record of (9-3-0).  Yes they lost to the Maple Leafs last night 4-1, but Jamie Benn is a beast this year so far with 18 points as Tyler Seguin has 17. The said that they wanted a strong start to the season unlike last year and they did just that. Maybe this is the year for the Stars or this is just a fluke like two years ago. I think that Patrick Sharp should produce a little more, but he has 9 points though. Is this a fluke? Can they keep this up? Is this the year for the Stars? stay tuned.....

Red Hot Devils

Image result for new jersey devils vs islanders
The New Jersey Devils (6-4-1) have had a surprising start to their season. I don't think anyone thought they would do good this year. I know it is early still, but if they keep up the pace that they're at then they could be back in the playoffs for the first time since 2012.  They just had a shootout win against the New York Islanders at Prudential Center with Mike Cammalleri getting the winning shot in the fourth round in the shootout. I believe the Devils will make it to the playoffs, but lose in the first or second round. Can the Devils keep it up? Is this just a lucky start? stay tuned....
